The timber of the Scandinavian pine used to produce floorboards grows in the distant Scandinavia, where the climate is very harsh, winters are long and cold, while summer is short and cool. Wood in such difficult conditions is growing very slowly, making it hard and dense. Floorboards from Scandinavian pine differ from local boards in higher density, narrower irregularly distributed tree rings, narrow zone of early wood, which has a significant impact on their strength. Scandinavian pine has many, characteristic of this species, large and clear tree rings. Color of raw wood is in a shade of light / dark yellow.
